Tragedy hits Cameroon Football: Former UMS, YOSA, ISOHSA player Joel Etogue dies from accident

Joel Etogue, former captain of UMS Loin Football Club has died after succumbing to accident injuries.

The 32-year-old football player died on Wednesday, June 28.

According to reports, Joel was involved in an accident in Douala, Littoral region one week ago. He was on his way to Limbe for training with his Football Club, Isle of Hope Sports Academy (ISOHSA) of Limbe.

“He was renowned for his pugnacity and combativeness,” a source lamented.

Joel played in UMS de Loum from 2013-2020, Yong Sport from 2020-2021, and FC Ebolowa from 2021-2022 before ending up in ISOHSA.
