Nigeria‘s Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) announced on X, formerly known as Twitter, that a school building in Nigeria collapsed on Friday, resulting in the deaths of several students.
The incident occurred in Busa Buji, located in Jos, Plateau State, east of Abuja.
“A two-story building housing Saint Academy (School) in Busa Buji in the Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State collapsed this morning, killing several students,” NEMA reported.
Witnesses say at least 10 students were pulled from the rubble, with several others sustaining injuries and being taken to the hospital. Many others are still trapped.
