Some Cameroonians are criticising awards handed to some workers of the ministry of finance today when important materials have been stolen in the ministry by bandits. To some critics, banditry in the ministry may have been planned to wipe traces of embezzlement. The medals, according to Minister Louis Paul Motaze, is merited because the workers have worked hard to fish out ghost workers from the state payroll.

Commercial motorcycle riders in Limbe in the South West say thieves continue to be a threat to their activity. To them, the influx of people in Limbe has worsened the security situation as street boys continue to attack riders to seize their motorcycles. Riders are calling on security forces to step up their work.

Two suspected killers of a woman last June 6th have been arrested in Yaounde. The men are believed to have killed the woman at Emana neighbourhood in the course of a failed attempt to snatch her handbag.

Rene Emmanuel Sadi has debunked claims that the Olembe Stadium will not be ready for AFCON next year. Visiting the stadium today, the Minister of Communication says the construction company has given its words to deliver on time. He visited areas of the stadium reserved for the press to broadcast live matches.
