A man is on the run in Bandjoun after killing a student he accused of stealing 7,500 FCFA. Reports say he tied the boy on his bike and dragged him on the floor till he died. Police have launched a manhunt to track him down.

Four persons have died in a road accident in Sangmalima. The accident occured yesterday May 23, 2021 in the night.

A student of the University of Bamenda has been kidnapped by suspected Amba fighters. Yasmine was taken yesterday by the men from Bambili to an unknown location.

Over 7 Amba fighters including notorious leader, General Akwaba have been killed in the North West region. They were killed by military forces in their raid of Tadu, in Bui Division.

Less than 60,000 Cameroonians have taken COVID-19 vaccines. Over a month after the vaccine was launched in Cameroon, many are still reluctant to take the vaccine. Worst still, some have opted not to take the vaccine, accusing members of government of embezzling funds meant for the fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Since January 2021, seven parliamentarians have died in Cameroon with none of them replaced. This means seven constituencies in Cameroon are no longer represented at the national assembly. Though the law in Cameroon provides for an alternate member of Parliament, the alternate member doesn’t automatically take over when an MP dies.
