Gilbert Tsimi Evouna, President of the Executive Bureau of the Centre Regional Council was absent at the first Assembly of the institution. For three days, he was absent to preside over deliberations on how to develop the Center Region, host to Cameroon’s political capital, Yaounde. Jean Claude Samana, Vice President of the Regional Council chaired the deliberations.

Ten cycling teams from seven countries have been presented to the public today in Yaounde. This is ahead of the kick off of an international cycling tour tomorrow Saturday, May 29, 2021.

Students living in the Malingo neighborhood in Buea were today morning subjected to a police raid. Most of the students living in this area had their rooms and their phones arbitrarily searched by the police.

The West Region Governor has sounded an alarm saying his Orange number has been hacked by cyber criminals . The number has reportedly been used to extort money from organizations and individuals.

One victim of the separatist attack on the Military in Galim, Solange Mafere on April 29 has had her leg amputated. Contrary to promises made to look after her, Solange says she has not received any government aid.
