The Minister of Water and Energy says Yaounde’s water scarcity challenge will be a thing of the past. Government, he noted, is in the process of providing 300,000 cubic meters of water for the capital by the end of 2022.


Trade Minister Luc Magloire Mbarga has threatened to shut down CIMENCAM over unilateral price increases. Warning the cement production company, the Minister said denying to abide by existing legislation would amount to provocation.

Controversial Nigerian cross-dresser, Bobrisky has announced an imminent visit to Cameroon in mid-July. The announcement has enraged many internet users who say he is not welcome in the country as he is not a role model for the youths.

ACMAR Media Group has announced that at least one person has been reported missing and one other injured as a building belonging to the company collapsed in Bonapriso, Douala. The cause of the collapse is still unknown.

The Japoma Stadium in Douala has been chosen by CAF to host the finals of the CAF Champions League on July 17, 2021. The game will be disputed between Egypt’s Al Ahliy and Kaiser Chiefs of South Africa.

Preparations are ramping up in Santa, North West region where former Prime Minister, Simon Achidi Achu will be buried. North West Governor, Adolphe Lele L’afrique was on patrol to inspect some of these areas that will be hosting the thousands of mourners that are expected to turn up for the funeral on July 3, 2021
