Government is suspiciously silent following the killing of a young man at the Below Foncha neighborhood in Bamenda, North West Region. Locals have been accusing the military for killing an innocent man that had nothing to do with separatist activities. The irate inhabitants paraded some streets of Bamenda with the corpse yesterday before depositing it at the mortuary.


North West youth president of the Cameroon Renaissance Movement party has been released from police custody. Mbah Raoul was arrested last Saturday in Yaounde on the instructions of an individual suspecting him of being a criminal. Raoul and the SG of PAP party were brutalised by a group of boys of French expression.


A man identified as Unji has been arrested in Edea for producing fake identification documents like national identity cards and birth certificates. The man from Menchum Valley in the North West of Cameroon says he engaged in the activity out of frustration. He laments that after over sixteen years of studies he has not got a job.


The sledgehammer of the media regulatory organ in Cameroon, the National Communication Council (NCC) has hit some media houses and journalists in Cameroon. NCC president Joseph Chebonkeng says the media organs have been found guilty of unprofessional practices. It remains unclear if the journalists and media organs suspended will respect the sanction.


Draws of next year’s African Cup of Nations will take place at the Yaounde Conference Center next month. The announcement was made by the minister of sports and physical education. A CAF inspection team visited the Conference Center today ahead of the event. The draws will further concretize Cameroon as host of the 2021 AFCON


According to the Minister of State Property and Land Tenure, over 80% of court cases in Cameroon are land cases. Minister Henry Eyebe Ayissi revealed this during today’s special plenary session on land management and reforms at the National Assembly.


A man arrested by the police two weeks ago in Douala has reportedly died in detention. He was involved in a market dispute in Nkoulouloun. He died this morning after a brief meeting with his mother.

Doctors Without Borders have denied allegations of involvement in arms trafficking in the North West Region. They have also called on the government to lift the suspension handed to them in the region due to the allegation.

Repentant Ambazonian General, Nambere has raised an alarm of an assassination attempt on him by the military. He revealed that he was almost killed by Cameroonian soldiers in Ndian whom he believes are trying to kill him and blame on the Amba Fighters.
