Many social media users have expressed dissatisfaction after popular Cameroonian crossdressers, Shakiro and Patricia were released from prison today. The pair were sentenced 2 months ago to 5 years in jail for attempted homosexuality and lack of ID cards.

A man is currently on the run in Bayangam, West region after allegedly raping an 11-year-old girl. The 46 year old man was caught in the act by one of his wives who alerted the population.

Fabian Haiwe Adoum, son of former minister Adoum Garoua was today discovered dead in his room in Douala. He was a student of the Catholic University in Douala. Unconfirmed reports say he was electrocuted to death.

Cameroonian students in Morocco have protested against Government’s neglect of their needs. Protesting infront of the Cameroonian Embassy in Morocco’s capital, Rabat the students said they had been evicted from their homes for owing over 18 months of unpaid rents.

The Human Rights Commission at the Cameroon Bar wants authorities to take action against security officers who coordinated the arrest of some adults at a house party in Douala last week. The officers recording the adults naked and eventually sharing the clips online, the commission says, is a violation of the law and shouldn’t go unpunished.

The Cameroon Football Federation, FECAFOOT has adopted a new statute and electoral code. This was at an Ordinary General Assembly held in Yaounde today, amidst infighting in the institution.
