Truck loses brakes, kills two teenagers in Douala

A truck is said to have crushed two teenagers to death in Logpom, a neighborhood in Douala of the Littoral Region of Cameroon.

The incident occurred on the night of August 1, 2022.

According to reports, the teenagers were on their way back from the farm with their mother when they were hit to death by the truck as a result of brake failure.

“It was a very horrible experience, I have never seen such in my life. The truck developed brake failure and ran into these people,” an eyewitness said.

She added, “It happened just like a joke. The next thing is, we saw the two children lying lifeless on the ground, it was a very sad experience.”

According to sources, the mother was equally involved in the accident but was later rushed to the hospital as she sustained major injuries.

The corpses of the two teenagers have been transported to the mortuary, pending burial.
