Tubah: Vehicle of BBC reporter, two others retrieved from kidnappers

By David Atangana

Elements of the national gendarmerie in Tubah subdivision, Mezam division of the North West region, have retrieved some three vehicles stolen by kidnappers, MMI has gathered

One of the vehicles is reportedly that of Frederick Takang, reporter for BBC Afrique.

He was abducted with his vehicle on May 26, 2022.

According to reports, the reporter succeeded to escape, leaving his car behind.

It is not known wether the two other vehicles belong to kidnapped victims too.

Following a viral video made public Thursday September, 22,2022, the car is seen with two other vehicles in an undisclosed location following an operation by security forces.

At the time of this report, the cars had been taken to the Tubah gendarmerie brigade

Gendarmerie authorities say anyone whose car was stolen should come by for identification and collection.
