Two Corona virus cases confirmed in Bafoussam

The government of Cameroon since yesterday had engaged in a series of measures to limit the spread of the corona virus in the country.

Notwithstanding, the virus seems to keep spreading as two more cases have been recorded in Bafoussam in the West region.

As the majority of cases of the virus are being treated in Yaounde, two other cases were brought in from Bafoussam this morning official sources have confirmed.

While there is no treatment for the Coronavirus, researchers are working to find a cure, leaving treatment symptomatic, health minister, Dr. Manaouda Malachie says.

“We call on everyone to be disciplined and responsible. You put your life in danger and that of other compatriots by being irresponsible. Let us strictly adhere to preventive measures,”the minister pleads.

According to state media, a total of 287 contacts of confirmed cases and 27 passengers on Air France flights on March 07 and Brussels Airlines on March 14, 2020 are currently being followed by the watch unit.

Yesterday PM Dion Ngute announced 13 measures to contain the spread of the virus including the shutting down of borders.
