Two die in Bamenda after eating garden egg

A woman and her daughter-in-law have died of suspected food poisoning after eating a meal containing garden egg.

The two residents of Mile 3 Nkwen died after consuming what many sources confirmed was garden egg over the weekend.

Reports say they were among many members of the same family admitted at a health facility after eating the food.

The family head is said to have regained consciousness hours after being admitted at the hospital, only to realise that his wife and daughter-in-law had died.

The exact cause of the deaths is yet to be ascertained. It is suspected that the family might have been poisoned by external forces.
