The bloody accident scene Wednesday, left road users and locals of Abong Mbang in the East region, where it occurred, in shock.
The accident involved a military truck with soldiers onboard, and a cargo vehicle transporting livestock. The victims died on the spot.
In addition to deaths recorded, the incident also left several others injured. Concerns have often been raised on the way military and police vehicles use highways in Cameroon with many accusing them of over speeding. The state of Cameroonian roads is also problematic.
