Two Suspects are under police investigation in Mutengene, South West Region of Cameroon in connection with a missing six-year-old child, MMI has gathered.

Mba Godfred and Ebenezer MMI gathered are suspected accomplices in the theft of a child.

Azentem Karis who is six-months-old according to family sources was stolen September 24, 2022.

“Azentem Karis was stolen in Mutengene at ‘quarter 10 back fungon’ by an unknown lady who collected the child from his elder brother, saying she just wanted to hold the child but suddenly went away with him,” a family source told MMI.

“It happened when the mother went to the market to buy food stuff,” the source added.

Efforts made by the family to get back the child has not yielded fruits despite an alarm raised.

According to reports, the two suspects in police custody are said to have had contacts with the woman who reportedly disappeared with the child.

“They are believed to have come in contact with the woman who stole this child, because they confessed with their own mouths that they met with the said woman on two occasions and even collected money from her,” the source revealed adding that, “And she told them that she was looking for a child to buy.”

It has been two months and counting but the whereabout of the child remains a mystery.

The family has been making appeals to whoever is keeping the child or has helpful information to contact them on 670641540 or WhatsApp +2482790439.
