U-23 Lions crash out of Islamic Solidarity Games

The Under-23 Indomitable Lions have been eliminated from the ongoing 2022 Islamic Solidarity Games in Turkey.

On August 8, 2022, Cameroon’s U-23 team recorded a terrible start as they lost 3-0 to Algeria after they failed to show up for their match.

The lions, reports say, failed to make it to Turkey due to some complications back home.

After a successful departure the same evening, the Lions were expected to face the host country yesterday Wednesday, August 10. A game that resulted in a 3-2 score in favor of Turkey.

The defeats, therefore, sent Cameroon parking as they obtained zero points at the end of two matches.

Cameroon will face Senegal in a stake-less final group fixture tomorrow Friday, August 12, 2022.
