U23 AFCON: CAF officially announces Cameroon to replace Gabon

The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has officially announced that Cameroon will be replacing Gabon in the 2023 under 23 African Cup of Nations tournament.

In a recent communique by Samson Adamu, Director of the Competitions Division of CAF, Cameroon is henceforth eligible to take part in the finals.

“We hereby inform you that Cameroon will replace Gabon with the same order of matches established for Group B in the schedule of the final tournament of CAN U23, Morocco 2023,” the communique stated.

The U23 AFCON tournament is expected to run from June 24 to July 8 in Morocco.
