South West Governor, Okalia Bilai Bernard has made a statement about the recently increasing records of bomb blast attacks in Buea, with the latest registered in the University of Buea.

Okalia said “All of us must become policemen, military, gendarmes… You are marching today, you will be marching every day to protect this peace, security and continually preach peace everywhere you go”.

He was speaking to today, November 12th, 2021, during a protest organised by some elites of Buea, under the leadership of Mayor David Mafani to denounce the bomb attacks, during which a ritual was conducted at the entrance of the Univeristy of Buea.

On his part, Mayor David Namange who had hired some people to accompany him said “We accept, there might be a problem and differences, but we differ with their approach of using violence in resolving problems. We stand for peace”.
