Ukraine’s richest man promises to rebuild city of Mariupol

Rinat Akhmetar, considered the richest man in Ukraine has pledged to reconstruct the city of Mariupol.

Following consistent bombardments and shelling in Mariupol, it has so far suffered the highest losses and devastations since the outbreak of Russian-Ukraine conflict.

“Mariupol is a global tragedy and a global example of heroism. For me, Mariupol has been and will always be a Ukrainian city. I believe that our brave soldiers will defend the city, though I understand how difficult and hard it is for them.” Akhmetar said.

He however stated that the date for the rebuilding is yet to be set as he will have to pay the depts of his companies beforehand.
