Unidentified men steal five-month-old baby in broad daylight

A five-month-old baby has been stolen at their residence in Souza, Littoral Region, of Cameroon by unidentified persons in broad daylight.

According to information gathered by MMI, the parents of the child headed for the farm on April 13, 2023, leaving her behind with her elder sister at home.

“When the baby woke up they were both playing on their veranda. Two unknown men appeared on a bike and told the girl that they have been sent by her father to take the child to him,” a source disclosed to MMI.

The young girl however tried resisting, insisting that her father did not leave such a message before heading to the farm.

While trying to resist, the two men,”… forcefully seized the baby and made away on their bike,” our source further revealed.

Confused, the little girl rushed to the farm to explain the situation to her parents who alerted the local population.

“Before the population could understand what happened the unidentified men had already disappeared with the baby,” our source said.

The parents of the baby have remained inconsolable following the tragic incident. They are calling on all persons capable of identifying their child to quickly contact 683 44 75 06/651 84 16 71.
