Match day two has not been fruitful for Anglophone clubs at the Elite One Championship, as PWD of Bamenda and Victoria United of Limbe suffered losses in their respective games on Sunday and Monday.
After Victoria United’s 1-0 loss to Coton Sport on Sunday, PWD suffered a humiliating 2-0 defeat from Canon of Yaounde at the Ngoa Ekelle stadium on Monday evening.
The Abakwa Boys were about to enter halftime without conceding a goal, when D’Essama infiltrated their defence line to score the game’s first goal at the 41st minute.
Buttt E. Steve sealed the scores at the 78th minute with the second goal that would later become the last for the game.
Both PWD and Victoria United started march day 1 with victories.
While the four-time Cameroon Cup finalists, PWD, beat Bamboutous of Mbouda 1-0, the Victoria boys, who joined Elite One last year, humbled Fauve Azur 2-1.
