United Express Announces Tragic Death Of Hostess

In a facebook post early Wednesday October 24th, 2018, United Express, has confirmed the death of of one of its hostesses in an accident.

Clotine, the victim, was the stewardess onboard the Bus with registration number,CE 186 IK which left Yaounde at 7:00pm for Douala.

The accident according to management of the inter-urban travel agency occured at 10:30pm after the Toll gate in Edea, Sanaga Maritime Division.

Shortly after the incident, United Express made an announcement addressing a message of condolence to the bereaved relatives.
“URGENT URGENT URGENT !!!
THE UNITED EXPRESS AGENCY, YOU ANNOUNCE THAT ONE OF THESE BUSES OF YAOUNDE AT 7 PM FOR DOUALA HAVE MADE AN ACCIDENT IT IS 10:30 PM BEFORE EDEA’S PACKAGE. WHERE A DEATH AND INJURIES, THE AGENCY ADDRESSES THIS CONDOLEANCE TO THE FAMILY
SECURITY REMAINS OUR PRIORITY” they wrote.

Few injured victims have been rushed to hospital for medical attention.

The National Road Number 3 linking Douala and Yaounde has been described as a death trap, due to the number of accidents witnessed annually, and the deplorable state of the road.
