University of Buea: Meet dozens of female students who produce liquid soap to make ends meet

At least 30 women in the University of Buea in Cameroon’s South West Region have come up with an initiative to produce liquid soap.

The group of women from different departments of the University of Buea called _University of Buea Women Association_ told MMI that they have discovered the importance of practical skills that can help them “earn some money and make a living.”

They have come up with the idea to produce high quality Liquid soap at a very affordable price.

“Cameroonians have been depending on imported products for a very long time, and it’s time we start encouraging local production,” they told MMI.

This initiative is to inspire many youths out there to learn skills because university degrees only might not be enough.

“…so we must learn skills that can help us make a living,” they said, adding that interested students could join them.

“Our doors are open. We can welcome more members.”

These liquid soaps are available at very affordable prices.

You can also get them delivered to you anywhere in Cameroon.

“They come in the form of handwashing soap for restaurants, hotels, and other public places and can be used for washing of dishes and other household items.”

Please join this initiative by buying and supporting in whatever way you desire.
