Wat-Nkambe: Population arrests four armed robbers for attacking, stabbing a business man

By David Atangana

Four armed robbers of Fulani decent have been nabbed by the local population after they attacked and stabbed a popular local business man MMI has gathered.

The business man whose name MMI got as Joe Ngwang was attacked Sunday night November 6, 2022 in his home by the alleged hoodlums armed with knives.

The incident reportedly occured in Nwangri, Wat, a locality in Nkambe Central subdivision of Donga Mantung division in the North West region.

Sources say the men pf the underworld invaded Joe’s home and stabbed him several times before an alarm was raised

“They stormed the house attacking him in his room. The family raised an alarm when they heard Pa screaming for help”, a local told MMI, adding that “the armed robbers escaped into the bushes when an alarm was raised”

According to reports, the population came out in their numbers and launched a manhunt against for robbers.

“The whole community came out and combed all the bushes around. Unfortunately for them the population flushed them out, overpowered and got them well beaten before handing them to the military stationed in Nwangri” the source added.

At the time of this report, latest developments indicate that one of the thieves has escaped from government custody.

Questions are being raised as to how that can happen without the help of security officers.

“We are made to believe that these armed robbers are working together with uniformed officers. How can we arrest a thief and hand to the administration and they later tell us that he has escaped?” questioned a local.

Joe Ngwang was rushed to a health facility in Ndu for medical attention.

His condition as at now is yet to be ascertained .

Meanwhile, the population has vowed not to blink until justice is administered to the arrested robbers.
