Both teams had a share percentage of ball possession and the game ended with a late drama.
Uruguay’s Frédérico Valverde came agonizingly close to scoring a goal at the 88 minute after attempting a shot on target 44 metres away from goal.
This was answered by a counteroffensive led by South Korea’s Heung-Ming Son whose shot on target at the 89th minute volleyed inches passed the Uruguay goal post.
The game ends in a stalemate :Uruguay 0, South Korea 0. This is the fourth goalless draw of the tournament.
The next group H encounter comes up at 5pm Mutengene time. Cristiano Ronaldo’s Portugal will be locking horns with the Black Stars of Ghana.
Will Ghana be the first African country to make the breakthrough in this competition?
We’ll find out soon enough! Stay tuned.
