A man by name Pierre Eclador Wamba has reportedly terminated his life after breaking up with his wife in Penka-michel, a locality in the Menoua Division in West Cameroon.
The population of the locality woke up on August 10, 2022, in fear, after discovering the corpse of Takene Wamba Pierre Eclador from Balessing.
He is said to have killed himself on the night of August 9 to 10 by hanging at his mother-in-law’s home.
According to reports, it all began when Wamba Pierre broke up with his wife Marie. He later claimed the sum of 228,600 FCFA, from the latter, to cover all that she had consumed from him.
At his parents-in-law’s place, Marie’s mother told her son-in-law to return to his home, postponing the conversation for the next day. He however committed suicide by hanging around the same house later that evening.
The family of the deceased have pointed accusing fingers at the mother-in-law of Wamba Pierre but the latter says her hands are clean.
To this end, an investigation has been opened by security officers in Penka-Michel.
