West region: Population blocks movement in Baminyam over ‘missing,” 15-year old girl

By David Atangana

All movements have been blocked in Baminyam, Galim subdivision of the West Region Region of Cameroon, MMI has gathered.

This follows the disappearance of a 15-year old girl. She is said to have dissapeared under unclear circumstances.

The population reports say came out November 13, 2022 blocking all roads lead into and out of the locality.

Baminyam is reportedly blaming neighbouring villages of kidnapping the teenager.

“There is a situation going on in Baminyam a village in west region under Galim subdivision. They blocked corpses accessing through their village to other localities,” explained a source.

He added that: “Not only corpses but all the vehicles.”

Reports say the action is engineered by the missing of a 15-year old allegedly blamed on neighbouring villages.

“A girl of 15 years is missing and they’re accusing the neighbouring villages.” The source continued that communities include: “Awing, Balikumbat and other villages sharing borders with Baminyam.”
