From May 21st to 28, the team will visit a number of facilities intended to host the African Cup of Nations football, AFCON competition billed for next year.
In this regard, the country’s Minister of Sports and Physical Education, Narcisse Mouelle Kombi has been inspecting sporting and leisure facilities under construction for the event.
In his latest visit that started yesterday, Minister Kombi is visiting as well as evaluating sports and hotel facilities in the West Region chosen for the organization of the tournament.
The minister’s visit will run till the 19th of May. While the initiative is lauded by many, some have expressed concerns over the country’s readiness, given that the same structures were supposed to have been completed for the competition last year before it was postponed.
