West Region: Three family members arrested for selling marijuana

Three members of the same family have been arrested by security forces in Foumban, West Region of Cameroon, for selling marijuana.

The relatives, reports say, comprised of a 47-year-old man, his 38-year-old wife and their 17-year-old son.

Inhabitants of the area revealed the couple usually made use of their son to attract customers for the marijuana business.

Security forces told media sources that “crime wave has increased in the Division and this is due to the excessive consumption of drugs by our young guys.”

The three family members have been remanded in police custody for further interrogations.
