Some two business persons whose identities MMI could not get have reportedly escaped from ‘Amba’ captivity.

This was after they were kidnapped by suspected separatists elements from from Lebialem, on Monday, January 9, 2023

The armed men are reported to have crossed into Pia market, in Upper Nkam Division of the West region, picking the two business persons.

The fighters reports say, led their captors away demanding ransom.

Local sources say the two business persons aged 30 and 35 were kidnapped by the Red dragons of Lebialem who later on demanded the sum of 30, 000 million for their release.

The duo are according to information gathered, escaped from the separatists captivity.

Events leading to their escape remain a mystery.

It is not the first time that Pia market is being attacked by armed separatists.
