Who is Baltasar, and How Were His Sex Tapes Leaked?

Social networks recently went on frenzy not because of the American elections but because of the name Baltasar.

Baltasar Ebang Engonga is an Equatorial Guinean official who is alleged to have had sex with 400 women, some of whom are married.

But Who is He?

Baltasar is alleged to be related to Equatorial Guinea’s long-serving President, Teodora Obiang Nguema, but it is not clear what the nature of the relationship is.

Baltasar was the head of the National Financial Investigation Agency and worked on tackling crimes such as money laundering.

He is the son of Baltasar Engonga Edjo’o, president of the CEMAC commission.

The sextape man was an influential person in the country, too.

Who Leaked His Sex Tapes?

According to the BBC, Baltasar was arrested on October 25 for embezzling public funds.

Though in charge of a financial investigation agency, he has also been under investigation and was recently arrested for stealing money and storing it in offshore accounts.

The BBC reported that when Baltasar was taken into the infamous Black Beach prison in the capital, Malabo, his devices were seized.

A day after the security officials took Baltasar’s devices, sex tapes started popping up online.

It is believed that the security personnel in charge of his devices leaked them.

Some of the women in the videos are related to the president, and some are wives of influential people in the country.

All the videos, as we learnt, could not be released because the vice president of Equatorial Guinea, who is also the president’s son, ordered telecommunication companies in the country to stop the clips from being uploaded.

An investigation has been launched to determine who was responsible for the leaks.

Baltasar was arrested for financial crime, contrary to information online that he was detained for having sex with 400 women.
