Wife of Cavaye Yeguie in court over ‘missing’ 85 million FCFA

The first wife of Hon Cavaye Yeguie Djibril, the speaker of the National Assembly is expected to be heard in the case of the theft of 85 million FCFA from the husband’s residence.

On January 11, 2023, 85 million FCFA was stolen from Hon Cavaye’s residence in Tokombéré, Far North Region.

Several members of his family who were accused have been arrested.

Persons have, however, been wondering how such an amount can end up in the home of a public official.
