Comedian AY and Wife
Mabel Makun, the wife of Nigerian comedian AY Makun, has shared distressing messages on her Instagram account, hinting at threats and revealing a long history of alleged domestic abuse.
The interior design expert took to Instagram in a two-part series to shed light on the trauma she claims to have endured for an extended period.
In her first post, Mabel stated, “Been abused mentally and all round for way too long, and I have had enough.”
The cryptic message hinted at the underlying struggles she has faced, raising concerns among followers and fans.
She furthered that her life has been threatened, pointing to a specific individual responsible for the perceived danger.
“The threat to my life is actually getting out of hand, and if anything happens to me, there is just one person to be held responsible,” she added.
While Mabel refrained from explicitly naming the person she holds responsible, speculation has grown that she may be referring to her husband, AY Makun.
The couple, married for over 15 years with two daughters, recently unfollowed each other on Instagram, sparking rumors of marital discord.
Mabel’s revelation about reporting the case to the police adds further gravity to the unfolding situation.
The story has left many perplexed, as the couple has been known for maintaining a relatively private and scandal-free relationship.
In November last year, they celebrated their 15th wedding anniversary, sharing joyous photos of their enduring union.
The sudden revelation of alleged abuse and threats has prompted a flurry of reactions on social media.
Responding to the unfolding situation, AY Makun offered a cryptic remark: “Better to keep silent and let people think you are a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt.”
The ambiguity surrounding the situation has only fueled curiosity and concern among fans and followers.
