Will CDN Successfully Make Whole With Just Part?

The Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia Activists Front (SCAAF), a faction of the Ambazonia independent struggle has issued a release congratulating the efforts of the Coalition for Dialogue and Negotiation (CDN), as regards the recent retreat held in Toronto-Canada.

Drawn on November 1, 2021, the release highlights SCAAF’s appreciation to what it qualifies the just-ended successful CDN led talks.

Signed by the SCAAF Chair person, Mark Bareta, the movement notes that SCAAF is privileged to have taken part in such a history event on behalf of the Southern Cameroons (Ambazonia).

SCAAF affirms its undivided support to the CDN in all ramifications, while anticipating the outcomes of the 4-day event.

Following the same track as SCAAF, Br. Felix Balla Agbor reiterated on his tweeter handle that the event was open-minded and featured fruitful discussions of strategies to build trust and oneness amongst the Ambazonia ringleaders.

Replying to a comment that says the Toronto talks are less credible, with claims that the Cameroonian national anthem was sung at the event, Barrister Nkongho Felix said, “It is unfortunate that those who boycotted are trying to sabotage others. When I read on social media that there was the singing of the national anthem, I was stunned.”

It should be recalled that the Toronto retreat in Canada was aimed at harmonizing the ideologies of Anglophone separatists’ forerunners to ease way towards peaceful ending of the 5-year long armed conflict.

However, the talks ended without the attendance of some key actors like Dr. Sako Ikome amongst others.

The question yet to be answered is how far the efforts of the CDN will go in resolving the escalating crisis in English Cameroon, given that the leadership remains divided.
