Will Onyori Onyori Mokube be silenced like Wazizi & others after arbitrary arrest?

It is already five days after police officers arrested Onyori Onyori Mokube, native of Dikome Balue, but his family says they do not know his whereabouts.

A family member has said the community has a “worried mind” after the son of Hon. Peter Mokube was arbitrarily arrested on November 4, 2020.

According to reports, Onyori was seized from his father’s house in Kumba without any charge and since then he has been in incommunicado detention with his whereabouts yet unknown.

Family members say they fear he should not go through the same dilemma like deceased English-speaking journalist Samuel Wazizi, who was detained incommunicado by the Cameroonian military and his death only communicated several months later.
