Woman dies, child rescued in Ndu car accident

A woman, whose identity is yet to be confirmed, has died while her child was rescued following a car accident in Ndu, Donga Mantung Division, in the North West region.

The car accident occurred on the night of Sunday, August 25, 2024, in Mbiyeh, a locality in Ndu, along the road to Nkambe. The woman was traveling in a Hilux vehicle that was involved in the crash.

According to witnesses, the woman was carrying a child estimated to be around two or three years old, who survived the car accident.

The woman’s body has been taken to the Ndu Baptist Hospital awaiting identification. The child is currently under the care of hospital authorities.

Several other passengers reportedly sustained injuries and are receiving medical attention at the hospital.
