The Head Coach of the Desert Foxes of Algeria, Djamel Belmadi has remained confident ahead of their trip to Cameroon in the upcoming World Cup Qualifier game.
Having faced heartbreak in Cameroon in the recently ended Africa Cup of Nations, with the Desert Foxes woefully failing to defend their title and crashing out at the group stage, the coach is adamant they will redeem themselves with an away win.
Djamel Belmadi has told the Press that Algeria, “… suffered at the Japoma stadium and it is in this stadium that we will recover”. He added, “the players are aware of the difficulty of this task, and are ready” .
The Algerian team is currently camped in Malabo, in Equatorial Guinea. They are preparing ahead of the crunch tie against the Indomitable Lions at the Japoma Stadium in Douala, on March 25, 2022.
The match is seen by many as a litmus test and a baptism of fire for new Indomitable Lions Coach, Rigobert Song Bahanag. Song would be having his first game in charge as the biggest he has ever handled in his coaching career.
