X-Maleya and Magasco team up for powerful ballad on Anglophone Crisis

Cameroonian music icons, X-Maleya, have joined forces with Afro-pop/afrobeats sensation Tohnain Anthony Nguo, better known as Magasco aka “Bamenda Boy” for a tearful new song, “Tears of Mine.”

Released just 10 days ago, the track offers a heart-wrenching look at the ongoing humanitarian crisis in the country’s North West and South West Regions.

The accompanying music video pulls no punches, opening with a typical funeral scene, a painful reminder of the constant loss endured by these war-torn communities.

The clip weaves together powerful imagery showcasing the devastating impact of the eight-year-long armed conflict.

From the forced displacement of people sleeping rough in forests, to the harrowing reality of women forced to give birth without proper medical care, the video paints a vivid picture of hardship, the daily reality of the population in the affected areas.
