Cameroon commander shoots himself
Kolding Aristide, Commander of the Tsinga Gendarmerie brigade in Yaounde, Centre region of Cameroon, has died after inadvertently shooting himself with his pistol.
The tragic incident took place yesterday, June 9, in a snack where the victim was sharing a drink with some friends.
The commander, according to reports, manhandled his gun, “firing a bullet into his chest. An incident that cost his life,” sources have told local media.
After being rushed to the hospital, he was a few moments later announced dead as he succumbed to the injured left by the bullet.
Family, friends, and colleagues of Commander Kolding Aristide have remained in shock and disbelief following the tragic incident.
