The Divisional Officer Officer for Yaounde six, Joseph Alain Etoundi has sealed several snacks in his jurisdiction shortly after the murder of a presidential guard.
According to a release signed on June 29 by the DO, snacks located in the Melen neighborhood and surrounding areas will be shut down for a period of thirty days.
Joseph Alain ETOUNDI justifies his decision by highlighting “the insecurity caused by the said structures and cases of aggression recorded all around, the noise pollution, the late closure of these establishments among others.”
The presidential guard was stabbed to death by unidentified persons on June 28, 2023.
