A fire incident has been reported at the Elig-Edzoa Market in Yaounde, Cameroon’s Centre Region — resulting in enormous material damage.
The incident took place on the night of May 28 breaking May 29.
Witnesses told MMI that several shops were reduced to ashes.
The exact cause of the outbreak is yet to be known.
The level of damage has been estimated at billions of Francs FCFA.
