A violent collision has occured between two heavy trucks in Yaoundé, around the Ndisamba University, few meters away from Carrefour Tropicana.
According to eyewitness accounts, one of the trucks was parked by the side of the road when another truck carrying cement left its lane with high speed to hit the stationed car.
Inside the stationed car was its driver and a woman. The collision seriously damaged both legs of the driver inside the stationed truck.
There are fears he might never be able to use his legs again.
The driver who had come out of his own lane had his head seriously broken.
The population quickly converged at the scene, and the friends of the driver of the stationed truck were furious at what they saw. They turned to attack the driver who had missed his lane, but he was fortunately saved with the intervention of the police at the scene.
Both drivers have now been rushed to the hospital.
