The University of Yaounde 1 has been listed among the best among 1750 sister institutions globally.
The 28-year-old institution made the list in a recent report that ranked higher institutions of learning, using the research performance and reputation criteria.
On the global scale, Cameroon ranked 940th, and 30th at the continental level.
Of the 66 African universities that made the list, the first four are in South Africa, followed by Egypt and then Nigeria.
