Yaoundé: Lady Arrested With Large Quantities of Cocaine at Yaoundé Nsimalen Airport

Elements of the Anti-Trafficking Unit of the Yaoundé Nsimalen International Airport have arrested a woman with a huge consignment of cocaine, weighing over 4.5Kg.

A reports in the Guardian Post Newspaper says this lady landed at the Airport onboard an Ethiopian Airlines flight, which flew in from Lagos, Nigeria.

She was picked by the security elements during a routine search of luggage by the airport authorities.

Security sources at the airport have revealed that this was not the first time a huge consignment of illicit drugs was entering the country, particularly from Nigeria.

The phenomenon seems to be on a steady increase, and the airport security agents have also doubled efforts in fighting trafficking, particularly with the use of modern equipment at their disposal.
