Yaounde: Man dies in landslide few minutes after burying 3-year-old son

A man popularly known as Pa Tangni, lost his life in a landslide yesterday, a few minutes after burying his three-year-old son in Mbankolo, Yaounde, in the Centre Region.

Reports say the man fell into a septic near his late son’s grave and died, following the landslide.

His three-year-old son, said to have been a twin, died in his sleep without having shown any signs of illness.

“The father who decided in the company of a few people to bury his son close to a septic tank was later swallowed by the ground into the Septic tank, following a landslide,” a source told to MMI.

The surviving twin of the deceased young boy was badly hurt in the landslide and was immediately rushed to the hospital, where we learned she is struggling between life and death.
