Yaoundé: Medical Doctors protest against non recruitment by government

Some trained medical doctors have rallied in Cameroon’s capital, Yaoundé and protested for not being integrated into the public sector, over a year after completion of training.

Since the said doctors completed their programs in 2020, they say they have not been posted like is the norm. At present, there are reportedly over 700 doctors still waiting to be integrated.

According to them, they have never been officially notified that they were not going to be posted.

The wait for informing about their integration, they said has been long overdue, pushing hem to protest.

The demonstrators who were infront of the Prime Minister’s Office, called on him to take particular interest in the affair and ensure that their plight be looked into.
