Students and staff of the Marie Albert II College in Yaoundé are still in shock after a final year student called Banga, suddenly died while doing sports.
According to revelations from school sources, the deceased student is said to have jumped and fallen awkwardly on his head and back during sports, sustaining acute injuries.
At the time of the accident, it is reported that the student was bleeding profusely from his nostrils and his mouth.
Following his fall, sources say, Banga was rushed to the school infirmary, which later transported him to the hospital for more attention.
It was at the hospital that the boy is said to have been confirmed dead. The mortal remains of the boy have been transferred to the morgue. Investigators are working to understand the circumstances surrounding his death.
