Yaoundé submerged in floodwaters after torrential rain

Floods overwhelmed the city of Yaoundé yesterday, April 4, after heavy rainfall.

Major roads, and street junctions were flooded, vehicles basically swam their way through the waters, while pedestrians got stranded.

The capital city has been prone to floods for several years now, with poor town planning and unsustainable waste disposal habits blamed.
