Some journalists from Vision 4 Television were beaten up by merchants at the Mfoundi Market in Yaounde, in the Center region of Cameroon, while they were on coverage.
They were attacked and beaten up by the traders while trying to produce a report on the Women’s Day celebrations.
The information was confirmed during the “Tour d’Horizon” program broadcast on the Pan-African channel Vision 4.
According to the panelists of this program broadcast this morning, their colleague was beaten up by street vendors. Pierre parfait Ndongo cameraman at vision 4 tv was injured during the brawl.
“The attackers accused the collaborators of Jean Pierre Amougou Belinga of being the accomplices of the assassins of Martinez Zogo whose remains were found last January in a vacant lot in Ebogo, in a suburb of Yaoundé,” a source told MMI.
Since the murder of Cameroonian journalist Martinez Zogo, Amougou Belinga, and Bruno Bidjang, journalists, as well as several other employees of the Anecdote Group have been arrested.
