Yaounde: Young man kills uncle over food dispute.

A 26-year-old man is currently on a run in Yaounde, the capital city of Cameroon, after killing his uncle by breaking a bottle over his head during a family meeting.

The incident happened on June 18, 2023, at the home of the victim in Mimboman, where a man of over 45 years whose name MMI got as Zhe Metoumo, and his nephew, Arnaud Ngah were arguing about food.

The crux of the argument according to eyewitnesses was on who was the eat the biggest part of the fish served to them amongst the many dishes on the menu.

When the argument escalated, Arnaud took and broke a bottle over his uncle’s head, according to one of their family members who was present at the scene.

The victim died on the spot before he could be rushed to a hospital. Before the rest could come to terms with what was happening, Arnaud had already left the scene and is currently at large.

The victim leaves behind a wife and 9 children.
