20-year old UB student produces new brand of domestic bleach – BLESSED JAVEL.

Kpwe Syril Lom is the brain behind BLESSED-JAVEL, a new domestic bleach and cleaning agent that has hit the market.

The 20-year first year student of Biochemistry at the University of Buea says the product is the result of a long-term research nursed from his secondary school days.

“From the knowledge of what was taught in High School for GCE School Base Assessment SBA, I have been able to produce my own brand of domestic bleach known as BLESSED-JAVEL located in Buea,” Lom told MMI.

The bleach can be used to clean toilets, dresses, sinks, floors, industrial cleaning, among others.

BLESSED-JAVEL can also be used to colour dresses.

The product is already in high demand as some institutions in Buea are patronizing it due its effectiveness, he said.

“It is very effective. I supply to BGS molyko, St Bernard College and other places here in Buea,” he added.

Encouraging his peers to take their studies seriously, he said, “…encourage the A-level students to take this part of their studies very serious because it could be helpful for some of them if they find themselves in places where prices of commodities are increasing day by day.”
